I am a straight 23 year old male. I am in-shape, 5’10 175 lbs, with muscular legs. A couple of times, I wore shorts this short when I was running and riding a bike. I want to have a bicycle racing event in Texas like the Tour de France. How can I do this? How can I get this going? What all do I need to do?

Hey! Don’t let anyone tell you can’t do it! You need to inspire people…Make them feel like it’s for a good cause and get support from buisiness..Start small, form a local charity ride ( that’s tough enough) and go from there. Texas is a great place for a big time race, check out the Tour De Georgia, that’s a great race! I believe Texas can do it better.I always wanted to organize something here in Jersey, keep me updated.Good luck!

Bike riding will do more to tone your legs…

It is not easy to build up your butt if you don’t have much muscle there that can be bulked up (& most exercises are designed to tone overly large butts down…). But you want to focus on exercises that are billed as bulking up your "glutes".

Some exercise examples that focus on glutes to try:
1- Squats (from standing posit. you act like you’re sitting down on an invisible chair, then raise up and repeat 10-15 times for 3 sets)
2- Lunges (from standing posit., step forward & bend knee of front leg. Either return to original position and alternate legs or keeping lunging forward alternating legs. Don’t overdo or you could damage your knees)
3- Swiss ball roll down (from standing position with a Swiss balance ball positioned behind your lower back on a wall, slowly roll down to point where your thighs are parallel to the floor then roll up again. Repeat 12-15 times for 3 sets)
4- Butt blaster (from standing position use one of those exercise tubes [they look like a rubber jump rope shape] – put your wt. on one leg, hold the tube ends in both hands, and position the sole of your non-wt bearing foot over the draped part of the tube, press the leg that’s on the tube back for 12-15 times & 3 sets. Repeat with opposite leg).

If that doesn’t work for you there are padded panties & supports you can get that do the moral equivalent of the push up pads that go in bras – only they make your butt, not bust, look more endowed…

I’m going to start bike riding, about 1 or 2 miles almost everyday, unless it rains, and I was wondering, could I lose weight that way? I’m 13, if that helps. I just want to know how long it could take before I see a difference, or any tips?

Yes. it’s great exercise, but beware that to lose weight you have to reduce junk food as well as adding the exercise. To burn one candy bar (230 calories), you have to bike several hours.

I normally wear longer shorts, but one time I wore my 2" inseam running shorts and I never felt so good riding my bike before. There is a lining inside the shorts to hold my junk. I am an in-shape 23 year old straight male with nice legs.

i don’t think it would matter what you wore to anything. you could go naked and it wouldn’t matter. aha.

since you’ve got the right body type, then i think you can wear anything you want.

short running shorts are awesome for running, biking, or just wearing around the house.. haha

My son has been been riding a pedal bike without training wheels since he was three. He has a Honda PW50. We have a helmet and riding pants although the riding pants are getting small as well as elbow pads and shin guards. At this point he is not out riding on trails mostly around the dirt and gravel parking lot or fields. He wore down the rubber on a pair of boots this last weekend they were not riding boots.

Make sure you spend the money on a pair of proper mx boots as I have seen some very nasty burns from kids not wearing the right gear. They only have to drop the bike and be pinned under it.
